ONEOHONE Theatre Company is a performing arts group founded in 2009 to develop new, accessible and democratic approaches to theatre. We’ve performed our critically-acclaimed signature piece, 101, throughout the UK, in Croatia as part of the NU:Write Festival, and in the USA, where we were visiting artists at Northwestern University, Chicago. We have also performed immersive adaptations of several classic texts, including ‘Dracula’, ‘Woyzeck’ and Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’. Now in our tenth year, we’re devising new shows and looking for new performance opportunities.
Artistic Director Asia Osborne has directed all the company’s shows, and credits as a freelancer include ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (Broadway Theatre), RWR nights at Theatre 503, ‘Balls’ (Old Red Lion), ‘Spring Awakening’ (Camden People’s Theatre), ‘Romeo and Juliet’ (OUDS Gala, Oxford Playhouse), ‘A Puppet’s Tale’ (Old Vic) and ‘The Bacchae’ (touring UK to California). She completed the Young Vic’s Springboard Course in 2011, and was Director in Residence for Eton College in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Creative Producer Eleanor Rushton has produced and co-created all ONEOHONE shows. She works as an actor and writer, with recent credits including Thalassa (Thalassa), Lucy (Dracula), Lady MacDuff (Macbeth) and a wide range of voice work. She presents and produces the Story, Etc. podcast and is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Something Understood’. Eleanor also works as a freelance researcher and consultant for TV, radio and theatrical productions.
